SITA Relief Fund for Flood Victims

July 1, 2008 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SITA ENCOURAGES INDUSTRY SUPPORT The Spirit Industry Trade Association (SITA) is again calling on the support of the entire spirit industry. Numerous spirit programs have been affected by the recent flooding in the Midwest presenting the industry with another opportunity to meet a challenge. SITA is answering the call through the efforts of the SITA Relief Fund. Established in March of 2007, the SITA Relief Fund provides an outlet for contributions from the spirit industry to communities in need. As part of its philanthropic initiative, the SITA Board of Directors voted in early 2008 to contribute to the relief fund annually, providing assistance and aide to spirit teams that find themselves in immediate need. “To date, the SITA Relief Fund has raised and distributed over $12,000,” states Darren Thompson, current SITA Chairman. He continues, “I am very proud of the manner in which our spirit industry responded to the disasters in early 2007 and know that we can again count on that same generosity from our spirit community in 2008.” The SITA Relief Fund is a not-for-profit fund and your contributions are tax deductible. Contributions may be submitted to: SITA Relief Fund Community Bank & Trust Attention: Liz Trammell PO Box 311245 Enterprise, AL 36331-1245 More information regarding the SITA Relief Fund and other philanthropic initiatives can be found on the SITA web site.
